HBO Running Encore of True Detective

Since we’re looking at a long wait until True Detective’s second season, HBO has decided to throw us a bone and will be re-playing the entire first season starting this month. For those that missed it the first time or just want to re-watch it, the encore of the first season will run from September into November. There are definitely worse ways to spend the time in-between seasons.

The first episode kicks things off September 14th, and you can check out HBO to get a better idea of the rest of the schedule. While this is a nice gesture, it’s important to keep in mind that True Detective is also on HBO GO, a service which all subscribers have access to.

We suppose this encore is best for people who either have no interest or access to HBO GO, or are more interested in re-living the season week-to-week as originally aired. For some reason.
