This week’s hero report looks a bit more promising with Arrow hinting at a good episode.

While the sneak peek is short, the promised return of a fan favorite will probably have some viewers tuning in. With the CW schedule winding down, it’s time for all of the series to finish strong so viewers have a good reason to tune in next year despite the plummeting ratings.

Legends of Tomorrow – “No Country For Old Dads”

"TEAMWORK — When Damien (Neal McDonough) and Nora Dahrk (guest star Courtney Ford) take Ray hostage they force him to try and fix the Fire Totem, but Ray (Brandon Routh) tries to use the power struggle between them to his advantage. Ray and Nora find themselves working together in 1960’s East Germany in order to fix the totem, but soon come face to face with a younger and deadlier version of Damien Dahrk. Meanwhile, Sara (Caity Lotz) seems to be taking positive steps in her personal life. Dominc Purcell, Maisie Richardson-Sellers, Nick Zano, Tala Ashe and Keiynan Lonsdale also stars."

For fans of Sara’s and Ava’s relationship, the synopsis for “No Country for Old Dads” is probably enough excitement to tune in. However, the best part of this sneak peek is the news that the Dahrk family dynamic will continue to be explored.

While Damien was still a bit boring last week, the realization that his relationship with his daughter could be used against him offered up a lot of story-telling possibilities. Hopefully, Legends of Tomorrow capitalizes on this family’s drama to help the team gain some edge against him.

Lucifer– “Infernal Guinea Pig”

"When a murder investigation reveals the dark side of Hollywood, Chloe puts her life on the line to protect an innocent victim. Then, Lucifer comes up with a hell-raising scheme to help Cain, but when Amenadiel and Maze get involved, things don’t quite go as planned."

Based on the sneak peek for this week’s episode, it looks like Lucifer and Chloe are going to find themselves in the cross-hairs with a bomb. Desperate to protect an innocent woman, they race against the clock to try and stop the device from going off. Since this show is called Lucifer, it’s pretty safe to assume that the two lead characters make it out alive.

The Flash – “Enter Flashtime”

"JESSE QUICK AND JAY GARRICK TEAM UP WITH THE FLASH — When a nuclear bomb detonates in downtown Central City, Barry (Grant Gustin), Jesse Quick (guest star Violett Beane) and Jay Garrick (guest star John Wesley Shipp) slow down time by entering Flashtime. As everyone in the city is frozen, the three speedsters push themselves to the breaking point to save the city and everyone in it."

“Enter Flashtime,” definitely appears to be one of the bleakest episodes of this season yet based on the focus the trailer puts on a teary-eyed Barry. While the premise is pretty low-stakes knowing that Central City isn’t going to be destroyed by a nuclear bomb, it’s exciting to see the return of Jay Garrick and Jesse Quick.

However, Violett Beane just booked a CBS pilot, so fans of her speedster should be worried that she makes the ultimate sacrifice to help save the world.

Black Lightning – “Equinox: The Book of Fate”

"THE NEW NORMAL – Black Lightning’s (Cress Williams) pursuit for Tobias (Marvin Jones III) continues. Anissa (Nafessa Williams) continues to find herself in the new normal. China Anne McClain, Christine Adams, Damon Gupton and James Remar also star."

The shockingly short synopsis for “Equinox: The Book of Fate,” hints that this week’s Black Lightning is going to be one to watch. With Anissa’s powers out in the open and Gambi slowly getting drawn back into the underworld, every new episode promises to top the last.

Riverdale – “The Hills Have Eyes”

"Determined to uncover Hiram’s plans, Jughead presses Veronica about what she may know; Cheryl makes a surprising connection with an unlikely friend."

It’s hard to tell what storylines will continue on Riverdale since the show has been so disjointed since it returned for season two. “The Hills Have Eyes,” seems to be hyping up the drama between the core four with Archie’s and Betty’s kiss finally being revealed to Jughead. However, it’s hard to imagine the beanie-wearing gangster in training would want to kiss the girl who’s actively trying to destroy the South Side.

However, fans can at least be excited that Cheryl and Toni will be sharing some screen time. Also, Kevin and Josie are both getting storylines, but fans shouldn’t get their hopes up considering how often the two have been sidelined despite being main characters.

Arrow – “Doppelgänger”

"ROY HARPER RETURNS — Oliver (Stephen Amell) and Thea (Willa Holland) are shocked to hear that Roy Harper (guest star Colton Haynes) is back in Star City. However, when they discover the circumstances of Roy’s return, Oliver and Thea realize that Roy is in trouble and jump in to save him. Black Siren (Katie Cassidy) makes a shocking decision."

Arrow needs a win and “Doppelgänger,” look like it might be the answer to some of their problems. Based off of the sneak peek, it appears as though “NTA” won’t have much to do this week which is already a step in the right direction.

It’s been a poorly kept secret that Willa Holland would be departing the show after this season, and hopefully, the series has done right by one of their strongest cast members with a well-written exit alongside fan-favorite, Roy Harper.

Gotham – “A Beautiful Darkness”

"Ivy (guest star Peyton List) tracks a secret project on which Wayne Enterprises is working and begins to target anyone that can give her information. Meanwhile, Jerome (guest star Cameron Monaghan) becomes obsessed with Penguin in Arkham. Also, Gordon begins to second guess his deal with Sofia and an unsettling dream sequence shakes up Bruce."

It’s the episode that every Gotham fan has been waiting for, the return of Jerome. The series made headlines when they announced that Cameron Monaghan’s unhinged criminal isn’t their version of the Joker, but promised that fans would get to see the infamous villain this season.

However, he’s not the only big comic book name to appear in “A Beautiful Darkness,” with the sneak peek above showing Batman appearing in a dream to Bruce Wayne.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. – “The Real Deal”

"In the milestone 100th episode, Coulson finally reveals the mysterious deal he made with Ghost Rider, which will impact everyone on the S.H.I.E.L.D. team."

Details have been kept under wraps for the 100th episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. but the hour already looks action-packed. Hive and Lash have both been confirmed to return however it’s unclear what they’re part will be in the whole story. However, Daisy’s angry reaction about SHIELD hints that the deal Coulson made with Ghost Rider is not going to be one that sits well with the team.

With the exception of some of the CW shows, the sneak peek for this week’s Hero Report promises a lot of solid outings. Hopefully, the series can live up to the hype of their promos, but even the short synopses are exciting.

With so many more superhero shows debuting this spring, these long-standing network series will have to work hard in order to keep viewership up.
