The third season of True Detective switches directors two episodes in.
After finishing production on season 3’s first two episodes, HBO’s True Detective has changed directors for the remaining episodes. Jeremy Saulnier, who directed the first two episodes, is leaving due to scheduling conflicts.
Daniel Sackheim will take over for the remaining six episodes and split them with series creator Nic Pizzolatto. Saulnier was set to direct the first three episodes, but due to filming taking longer than expected, he had to exit the series early.
