Avengers: Infinity War comes out this Friday but unfortunately no members of the Marvel Television shows will be appearing.
It’s unlikely the two major divisions will ever have a true crossover despite the MCU remaining interconnected. However, it’s still fun to imagine how the Avengers could appear on the different television series.
Captain America – Luke Cage
There are a lot of ways Captain America could appear in any of the Marvel Television shows. However, it would be fun to see him interact with Luke Cage on his series.
For starters, Steve Rogers is from New York City so it would make sense to see him interact with some of the Defenders. However, in the first Avengers film, Nick Fury walks in as Cap destroys a punching bag he had been practicing on.
Luke’s skin is impenetrable, and the two would make for good sparring partners. It might even be fun to see the two have a relationship similar to the one that Luke and Danny has in the comics — especially since Iron Fist hasn’t been the biggest hit with fans.
Although, it would be a cute scene to have Captain America appear on Jessica Jones to replace the missing shield on Vito’s action figure.

Iron Man – Iron Fist
Just playing the odds here, but Tony Stark and Danny Rand would probably meet at some point. Even though Pepper runs Stark Enterprises, Tony is still the billionaire tech genius who owns a giant company.
Danny is also the wealthy owner of his own business, albeit one that doesn’t seem as successful.
Whether it’s at an event they’re both forced to attend, or just in passing at a restaurant it seems likely they could meet.

Thor – Legion
Having Thor cross over into the television shows is a bit tricky because he’s the God of Thunder. He’s almost too powerful to appear on any of the Netflix series and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. already had a visit from Sif.
However, Legion could be the perfect fit for the Asgardian considering how weird it can get. Thor: Ragnarok was a reminder about how colorful the original comics were and quite similar to the FX series.
Since David always thinks he’s losing his mind, he could see a vision or dream with Thor in it. Of all the Avengers, Thor makes the most sense for Legion just because it wouldn’t require the character to stick around for an elongated arc like the others.

Hulk – Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
The ABC show has already mentioned the Hulk in passing before so it wouldn’t be a leap to see Dr. Banner appear. One small issue is that The Avengers believes Agent Coulson to be deceased.
However, desperate times call for desperate measures and the team might need some help from Bruce. The team is currently dealing with unstable gravitonium and an impending Kree invasion.
S.H.I.E.L.D., in general, has been apprehensive when dealing with Tony Stark in the past because of his ego. However, Banner has all of the brains and none of the snark to help the team.
Or maybe he can help Yo-Yo learn to control her emotions. She was last seen murdering Ruby, and Banner definitely has years of practice trying not to let his anger get the best of him.

Ant-Man – Jessica Jones
Fun fact: Jessica Jones and Scott Lang briefly date in the comics. While there’s no way a Defender and one of the Avengers ever date in the MCU, their interactions would be comedy gold.
As seen in the Defenders, Jessica does not mesh well with things that are surreal or odd. A grown man teaming up with ants and shrinking to a diminutive size is definitely something she would ridicule. If Scott ever found himself on vacation in New York, perhaps his daughter befriends Vito on their trip.
However, it would be more likely for Ant-Man to pop up in Alias Investigation for a fleeting moment when tracking down and guys. Jessica would manage a witty response to his arrival before the two go back to living their lives.

Vision – Runaways
Having Vision appear on the hit Hulu series might seem a little out there but comic book fans will understand why. Its likely Runaways will eventually introduce the character of Victor Mancha, who is the son of Ultron.
The two are able to bond over their shared connection to Ultron and it eventually leads to some heartfelt scenes between the two. Having Vision appear once Victor is introduced feels almost necessary for the character.
Perhaps he can help the young man learn more about his parentage, or understand his mechanics more. As Avengers: Age of Ultron proved, the titular villain needed help viewing the beauty of the world.

Black Widow – Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Natasha Romanoff is a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent, so it shouldn’t be a big deal to have her character do a quick cameo.
Maria Hill and Nick Fury have both popped up for small scenes as a reminder of how the universes do connect. Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is Marvel’s flagship television show and they need to do something if they hope to keep the series going.
Low ratings and a desperation by ABC for the show to get canceled have led many to believe this could be the end.

Scarlet Witch – The Gifted
Technically Wanda isn’t a mutant (yet), but every X-Men fan out there wants to see her meet Polaris. Marvel hasn’t said if they plan to retcon Scarlet Witch’s origins in the MCU or figure out a way to incorporate her mutant heritage.
In the comics, she is one of Magneto’s children alongside her twin brother. It’s always a joy to see dysfunctional sibling relationships on screen and Wanda would definitely have one with her estranged sister.
Lorna is not only extremely powerful, but she’s often considered the only “true” daughter of Magneto because she inherited his powers. It would be amazing to see Wanda come flying in and have the two sisters fight it out before eventually becoming friends.

Black Panther – Daredevil
Having T’Challa show up in Daredevil would be a cameo already predicted in the comics. Black Panther takes up the superhero mantle in Hell’s Kitchen for a bit, a surprising departure from his typical technological support.
Matt is currently “dead” and when he comes back he might suffer the loss of a long-time friend in Karen Page. Black Panther might need to step in if Matt ends up giving into his dark side following her death.
However, out of all the Avengers, T’Challa is the only one with his face completely covered. As long as Netflix could borrow the Black Panther suit, they would only require Chadwick Boseman to add a voice over while a stuntman does all of the sequences.

Spider-Man – The Punisher
Peter Parker could be a fun choice for almost any Marvel Television series, but his crossover with The Punisher is legendary comic book art. The two notoriously fight each other quite a few times, with Spider-Man gaining the upper hand.
Even Jon Bernthal has been asked who would win in a matchup between the two. Thankfully, The Punisher takes place in New York City (although maybe not this season) which means a meeting between the two isn’t out of the realm of possibility.
Considering Frank is a bit more murder-friendly compared to Peter, the two could clash over how to handle a villain. Hopefully, Netflix is already trying to work out a deal with Marvel and Sony to shoot a quick fight scene between the two.

Hawkeye – Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Like Black Widow, Clint Barton is an agent within S.H.I.E.L.D. If Samuel L. Jackson had time for a handful of appearances on the Marvel flagship show then so should Jeremy Renner.
S.H.I.E.L.D. set up his safe house where his family lives, perhaps he stops by to say thank you. Or maybe, with the world ending on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and potentially being destroyed by Thanos he goes to grab a Quinjet.
The easiest way to incorporate him is to have Hawkeye appear in the closing bits of an episode like Nick Fury just to make remarks about the SHIELD team.

Doctor Strange – Iron Fist
It’s hard for Doctor Strange to cross over to other Marvel properties because he deals with the mystical. The showrunners for Runaways explained early on that Marvel wouldn’t allow them to use any kind of magic.
So the staff Nico uses was changed to an advanced technological weapon controlled by brain waves. That rules out almost all of the shows, except for Legion and Iron Fist.
FX’s hit show is definitely weird enough to incorporate Doctor Strange, but his character probably wouldn’t want to spend much time with David.
However, Danny Rand spends a majority of his time speaking about his mystical powers and his title. The two have fought side by side in the comics which could translate well into Iron Fist.

Guardians of the Galaxy – Runaways
Fans familiar with the Runaways comic know that Karolina Dean is an alien from outer space. On the television series, it looks like only her biological father is as well rather than both her parents.
The only way for the Guardians of the Galaxy to appear on any of the Marvel shows would be one that can incorporate their cosmological exploits. Since ABC’s Inhumans is probably canceled and S.H.I.E.L.D. has enough to deal with, that only leaves the Runaways available.
Both groups would probably mesh pretty well in a single episode crossover. Mantis and Drax would probably love to meet Gert’s pet dinosaur and Chase could learn to make some explosives from Rocket.
Teenage Groot could befriend Molly and Nico would appreciate Gamora’s stoicism. However, Karolina and Quill would have the most fun with a dance party.

Falcon – Luke Cage
The only way for Sam to appear on Luke Cage would be if Steve would also. Both men have been buddies for a while now and often train together.
Even though Falcon is a member of the Avengers, he still can’t keep up with Captain America. Who can blame him though? If Cap were to go boxing with Luke like the beginning of the article suggests, then Falcon could take a day off.
Sam would find it hilarious for his best friend to finally find someone who can take a punch from Cap. Of course, Sam would also be excited to spend time with a different friend of Steve’s considering his disdain for Bucky.

Even though the television characters aren’t crossing over with the films, it would be nice to have a reminder that this universe is connected. Avengers: Infinity War screenwriters commented how difficult it is to work in all the extra heroes in a movie, which is a valid point.
However, the television shows all have enough time to work in at least one cameo from an Avenger. Hopefully, with Marvel Phase Four there is more hope for a crossover in the future.
