After two weeks of teasing Lucifer’s fourth season by revealing plenty of Lucifer actor Tom Ellis’ body but not too much in terms of plot, Netflix has finally released a trailer that provides some details.

The two-minute trailer for Lucifer season 4 showcases the arrival of Eve (Inbar Lavi), whose apparently held a torch for Lucifer since the Garden of Eden. According to the trailer, the two have quite a connection that will dominate much of his attention throughout the season.

The new episodes will also address season 3’s cliffhanger ending in which  Chloe Decker (Lauren German), Lucifer’s partner in crime-solving, finally got a glimpse of his devil face. In the new season, Decker will be trying to come to terms with what she saw.

Check out the trailer below:

Netflix previously released a promo for the upcoming season thanking fans for their support. The series’ first three seasons were broadcast on Fox. After the network canceled the show, a passionate fan social media campaign. #SaveLucifer, led to Netflix picking it up for a 10-episode fourth season.

The streamer also previously released a teaser trailer that announced a May 8 release date for season 4.

Now, with further details about what fans can look forward to in the new season, anticipation should be at an all-time high. Based on the trailer, the new season looks to be a little raunchier and more explicit than the Fox version of the series.  Otherwise, though, it looks like Lucifer will be the same show fans already know and love.
