8. Worst TV dads: Hiram Lodge

While Mark Consuelos is plenty charming as an actor, Hiram Lodge has well over-stayed his welcome in the town of Riverdale, and on the show in general. Hiram was first introduced as one of many antagonists in the second season of the series and has since come up with increasingly ludicrous schemes and ideas to torment the town’s inhabitants — and often the teenagers.

Who could forget he and Archie’s weird rivalry, notably when it culminated in a homoerotic wrestling match in front of everyone? He has literally tried to have Archie killed, imprisoned, and more throughout the series. He’s a kid!

You’d think Hiram would have better things to do than fight a teenager over and over again. Plus, he doesn’t seem to care at all for his daughter, Veronica, continually competing with her and doing things that make her life miserable.

7. Worst TV dads: Mikael Mikaelson

Sure, Klaus is capable of being a monster, but at least we all know he would never do anything to hurt his daughter. Mikael, on the other hand, makes his entire life’s purpose to slaughter his children. He’s a ruthless tyrant, a bloodthirsty killer, and the Original vampire.

Despite being the father of all vampires, he was also a skilled vampire hunter who wanted to undo the damage he caused. Maybe in his mind, that seemed noble, but in reality, he terrified the almighty Klaus more than literally anyone else in the series.
