Ever since Bridgerton season 2 concluded, fans have been wondering which lucky Bridgerton child will find love next? Today, we have our answer!
Bridgerton season 3 news has been on the lighter side, with announcements pretraining to when filming will begin and Francesca Bridgerton’s recasting. But no one knew for certain what the plot of season 3 would be.
For some time, fans wondered if Benedict would be next, or perhaps Colin. This morning on Twitter, Lady Whistledown tweeted the following:
Miss Penelope Featherington cannot remain a wallflower forever, as all plants thrive best in the sunlight. pic.twitter.com/ZcszXnbkmg

Yes, for those fans, us included, who have been waiting patiently for something to happen between Colin Bridgerton and Penelope Featherington, the time has come! But we mustn’t celebrate just yet.
Will Colin Bridgerton finally fall in love with Penelope Featherington?
After all, by the end of season 2 Colin made it quite clear that while he will always care for and protect Penelope. He still considers her dear friend, not a potential future bride.
Not to mention, Colin’s sister, and Penelope’s ex-best friend, Eloise knows of her Lady Whistledown secret. While Penelope considered putting an end to the gossip she has yet to formally do so.
Will she use Lady Whistledown as a means to have Colin finally notice her? Will Colin become the reason Penelope finally retires her gossip pamphlet?
If Colin and Penelope do wind up engaged, will Eloise reveal her secret to everyone the day before the wedding? Yes, we unfortunately imagine that happening.
Or will Colin leave London to travel once more in which Penelope will patiently wait and hope he’ll one day marry her? What other romance or drama transpire in season 3?
Surely, Colin and Penelope’s story will not be the only one season 3 will be telling.
