True Detective season 2 pairing predictions: Edward Norton and Bryan Cranston

We are currently in a void when it comes to new material for True Detective on HBO and that has fans looking for anyway they can get a fix. The best way to get a fix at the moment is to try and predict a dream pairing of deceives for next season — or any season — and see what everyone comes up with.

One of the more brilliant pairings out there would involve Edward Norton and Bryan Cranston teaming up for an orgasmic mix of drama, quirk and sheer awesomeness.

Norton has been kicking around for a while, getting his big break in Primal Fear back in 1997. He was nominated for an Oscar straight out of the gate in his first film and added classics lie American History XFight Club and The 25th Hour to his resume over the years. He’s recently started to find more work again, starring in the last two Wes Anderson films as well as the most recent Bourne film.

Cranston has been around just as long, if not longer, going from a goofy guest star on Seinfeld to the goofy dad in Malcolm in the Middle to the vicious drug lord Walter White in Breaking Bad — so it’s been a bit of a career arc for Cranston. He’s incredibly well respected though and has solidified his place among the best actors of all-time. Norton has that same aura and pairing the two in some capacity on True Detective could end up being brilliant.
