38. Vamps and Volleyball
As soon as the vampires learn that they can walk in the sunlight thanks to Bill’s healing blood, however brief that time might be, they escape the camp and bask in the sunlight.
The vampires cast off their clothing and throw it in a fire pit at Bill’s mansion. Some younger vamps suggest a Target run to get a volleyball set. Jason and Violet exchange blood in a tree.
Once the volleyball net is up, Jason has an Iceman/Top Gun moment. He and Jessica are getting a bit too flirty for Violet’s liking. Violet serves the ball so that it smacks Jessica and sends her to the ground, apologizing that she’s a bit rusty.
Watching the vampires having their day in the sun is as fun as Mary Ann’s orgy in season 2. Some of the vampires are recently born, so seeing the sun again isn’t that big of a deal. But for those who haven’t seen the sun in a while, it’s a huge deal. Pam, for example, spends her time stretched on the grass enjoying the warmth.
