30. Jason Takes V for the First Time

Jason is known for being the guy who can have any girl he wants. Men love him too, as we see throughout the show. He’s slept with half of the women in Bon Temps. But when Jason takes V for the first time, he ends up with every symptom the Viagra commercials warn against. No matter what he does, he can’t find any relief. He even wears his hand out in his attempts, earning a big blister in between his thumb and forefinger.

He heads (pun intended) to Merlotte’s to find Lafayette, who sold him the V in the first place. Lala suggests that he try to take care of his needs solo, but Jason admits nothing is relieving the urge. Finally Tara finds Jason icing himself in the freezer, and she rushes him to the ER. Even the ER doctor is shocked by Jason’s swollen member, remarking that it looks “like an eggplant.” The only course of action, he says, is to drain the blood. Jason’s eyes are as wide as saucers. Tara tries to leave the room but Jason stops her, saying she can’t leave him. As the doctor sticks the needle in, Jason screams in agony.
