At the end of the series finale, we see that Eric Northman has developed a new vampire drink to replace Tru Blood. Only his new synthetic blood is called New Blood. This drink is derived from Sarah Newlin’s blood, since her blood contains the cure for Hep-V.They explain in the commercial how they found Sarah and were able to use some of her blood to create New Blood before she escaped. Pam is thrilled at the ability to make so much money, and she’s clearly happy to be back with Eric doing what they do best.

New Blood is a huge hit in the vampire community, and within a few years Eric and Pam go public with the company, ringing the bell at the New York Stock Exchange.

However, as we come to find out, Sarah Newlin hasn’t escaped. She’s tied up at Fangtasia and the ghost of Steve Newlin haunts her. In fact, he’s having a wonderful time haunting her. Eric and Pam rule over the bar as they always have, and all is well in their world.
