9. Eric’s Long Hair Goes Short

It might seem strange that hair would make a top 50 list, but just as Jennifer Aniston’s ‘do became a cultural icon and national obsession, so too did Alexander Skarsgaard’s hair when he traded his long locks for a more modern style. Evidently, the change was so popular that he kept the shorter cut for the duration of the series.

While other members of the cast made changes to their appearance, it seems like Eric Northman’s job was to be smoldering hot no matter the scene.

In the second season, Eric Northman takes on a bigger role in the show, and his hair gets a new style as a result. He also changes his style of dress. In season 1, Eric preferred leather and tank tops.
