3. “Normal Couples Do Not Do This”

Upon returning to Bon Temps from Mississippi, Bill and Sookie share a shower to get cleaned up. They’re both covered in blood, and they take a few moments to get extra clean.

When Sookie goes downstairs, she finds a dead werewolf on the ground in the living room. Instead of being horrified, she looks to Bill for an explanation. He forgot to mention that one detail to her. She tells him to fetch the tarp in the backyard. Since the man is naked, she drapes her towel over his midsection. Bill comes back in and she helps him get the body wrapped up, admonishing him for leaving the mess in her house. “Normal couples do not do this, Bill Compton,” she tells him. Bill laughs. Since when have they ever been a normal couple?
