Westworld season 1, episode 8, Trace Decay: Watch online

With just three episodes left in a fascinating first season, Westworld is new this week with “Trace Decay,” and we tell you how to make sure you don’t miss it.

It’s interesting how the answer to one question on Westworld inevitably leads to more. Sure, episode 7 confirmed a long-running theory about Bernard Lowe, and it did so in stunning fashion.

But as Hermes Conrad once memorably said on Futurama, “that just leads to further questions!” Was Bernard Lowe a real person that Robert Ford killed off and replaced with a host, or did the co-creator of Westworld invent him out of whole cloth?

Will Theresa Cullen be replaced by a host, perhaps the one that was already in production in Ford’s secret alternate facility? Surely, they can’t explain her disappearance to Charlotte Hale otherwise.

(And for that matter, is anyone going to even look for poor Elsie Hughes? Ashley Stubbs, maybe?)

What is Ford’s end game? Are the Westworld showrunners nodding to Futureworld here? How is Bernard going to continue to work from the inside since Charlotte publicly fired him?

You can see how much is still up in the air, and that’s without even touching on the William/Dolores, Teddy/Man in Black or Maeve Millay subplots. This is not the time to be missing an episode.
