Is there a bigger piece of crap on television that Perry Wright? It is killing me to watch Alexander Skarsgård portray such a vile person, but I suppose that’s what makes him such a great actor: The ability to play such a diverse range of characters.

Anyway, Perry and Celeste Wright’s marriage is the very definition of a poisonous and volatile relationship. He hurts her, she defends herself, he makes her feel bad for it. Now, she’s having to actively hide the bruises, and it’s getting worse.

Finally, in episode 6, “Burning Love,” we saw Celeste buy a house on the beach, in order to get away from Perry. Which means she is ready to leave her husband…we hope. But does that mean she will actually do it, and more importantly, will he let her?

Perry is a controlling monster. And, given the smallest window, he will stop Celeste from escaping with his children and her life. Do we think Perry is capable of taking things a step further and killing Celeste?

Yes.

In episode 6, Perry told Celeste she was lucky he didn’t kill her after she broke his urethra when he was trying to force himself on her.

Hopefully, Celeste will keep her friends around her, especially the gun-toating Jane, when she decides to leave Perry, in the Big Little Lies finale.
