The Junkyard People Were Not To Be Trusted
We all probably should have expected this, but the Junkyard Gang was not to be trusted. We knew that Negan had a little birdie telling him things all season and it turns out that was probably the Junkyard people. Even if they weren’t feeding him information, they certainly were into the idea of double crossing Rick’s group at the worst possible time.
Knowing that Negan was coming, Rick and the gang devised a plan to blow up a truck before beginning their assault on the Saviors. The one problem with that was trusting the Junkyard Gang to be on the level, which they not so surprisingly were not. The truck bomb did not go off and it was immediately revealed that Negan had made “a better deal” with this group.
We really should have seen this coming, and it threw a wrench in the whole plan of ridding the world of Negan. The assault eventually happened but not before some very bad things happened to people we would have rather not seen go through what they did.
