Now that we’ve seen the season 7 finale of The Walking Dead, we’ve got five questions for season 8. (Warning: Spoilers for the season 7 finale below)

A lot happened Sunday night on AMC’s The Walking Dead. Several storylines converged in order to bring what we believe the theme of season 8 will be: “All Out War.” However, if The Walking Dead really is going to go with that theme, we’ve got five questions for season 8 that need answering, to help connect the dots from the season 7 finale.

1. Battle lines are being drawn.

In season 7, two wildcard groups were introduced: Oceanside and the Scavengers. The Scavengers turned on Rick and the Alexandrians, but Oceanside decided to remain neutral in the battle (mostly), with Rick and the gang taking their guns.

With the Scavengers decidedly joining the Saviors, and with the Kingdom and the Hilltop joining up with Alexandria, it appears as if Oceanside needs to declare for either team Rick or team Negan, and since Negan killed all their men and boys, I don’t see them swinging that way.

We know that Dwight is working on the inside of Negan’s compound now, as a sleeper agent of sorts. He’s had it with Negan’s tyrannical rule, and he’s going to do what it takes to bring the big bad wolf down. But, does he have what it takes? And, more importantly, can he really be trusted?
