When does American Gods come out?
American Gods is coming to Starz at the end of April and we’ve got all the details you’re looking for.
Neil Gaiman’s American Gods, the Hugo, and Nebula Award-winning novel is coming to Starz on April 30. Developed by Bryan Fuller and Michael Green, the series will follow character Shadow Moon — a recently paroled convict — as he finds himself hired as a bodyguard to the enigmatic and very mysterious, Mr. Wednesday.
Along the way, Shadowmoon meets several of Mr. Wednesday’s friends, and enemies, and has to take on several tasks in order to see a certain task done. But, he must find a way to deal with an unexpected ordeal with his wife, Laura, before he can complete this task.
Starz has ordered eight episodes for the first season of American Gods — which is far too short in this writer’s opinion — but the fact that we’re getting any, at all, is a win in my book.
American Gods has an all-star cast that includes:
- Ian McShane as Mr. Wednesday
- Ricky Whittle as Shadow Moon
- Emily Browning as Laura Moon
- Pablo Schreiber as Mad Sweeney
- Crispin Glover as Mr. World
- Bruce Langley as Technical Boy
- Yetide Badaki as Bilquis
- Peter Stormare as Czernobog
- Kristin Chenoweth as Easter
