3. Gendry!

Ever since we last saw Gendry (Joe Dempsie), he was rowing for King’s Landing on the advice of Davos Seaworth way back in Game of Thrones season 3. After being part of one the weirdest sexual encounters in the history of the series, Gendry was busted out of Dragonstone before he could be sacrificed by Melisandre. Ever since, fans have wondered if we would see the last bastard son of King Robert Baratheon again, or if he was destined to simply become an internet meme for the ages.

Thanks to the power of a long zoom camera, and in no small part to filming outdoors on a beach, we now know that Gendry will make his return in season 7. King’s Landing was a natural landing point for the former blacksmith, as it was here that Gendry was born and raised before being sent north to the Wall with Arya in season 2. But what has Gendry been up to since then? And why is he wearing those spiffy duds?

Further photos show actor Gendry meeting with both Tyrion Lannister and Davos Seaworth, somewhere near King’s Landing (the meeting is interrupted by Gold Cloaks). Our best guess is that Gendry kept his head down until sometime around when season 7 starts, but after meeting with Tyrion and Davos is legitimized by Daenerys as the last living Baratheon. Heck of a turnaround for the former bastard from Flea Bottom. But bastards seem to be doing well in Westeros lately.
