What do those new Game of Thrones season 7 photos mean? Spoilers! Speculation!

HBO dropped a group of Game of Thrones photos from season 7 on us today. Everyone keep calm.

Be still my beating heart, we have new official photos from Game of Thrones’ season 7. All of our favorites are here, but what does it all mean? Let’s take a look at these stunning photos, but beware, SPOILERS will abound.

Well hello, there Queen Daenerys and crew. Daenerys looks to be wearing the same outfit we saw her wearing in the first HBO promo. Likewise, her entourage has adopted the same dark and gothic look. And if Daenerys is wearing the same outfit we saw her sit upon the throne on Dragonstone in, then this should also be Dragonstone. Can’t imagine she wears that outfit while sailing.

Need another clue this is Dragonstone? The normally sleeveless Unsullied now appear to be wearing much warmer outfits. Because you know what they say about winter in Westeros…

Here we have a close-up of Tyrion and his fancy Hand of the Queen pin. Once again, if this is Dragonstone, it’s a bit of a homecoming for Tyrion. Tyrion fled King’s Landing after murdering Tywin back in season 4.

Missandei looking mighty good in her new gothic duds. Obviously upon Dragonstone as well, the interesting thing here is her broach. It looks like dragons consuming one another in a circular pattern but regardless looks like some badge of rank. Tyrion has his Hand of the Queen badge, what might this one signify for Missandei?

This is a different shot of Varys than the group shot above but still appears to be on Dragonstone. Varys’ outfit is obviously intended for much colder weather than outside at Dragonstone though, from the fur lining and the much thicker nature of it. Could Varys be jumping around the Seven Kingdoms in his magical teleporter? The clothing certainly implies a colder climate.

Hey look, it’s Varys in the background. Another shot of Dany in that throne room we saw in HBO’s promo. Varys’ stance up by the throne room implies Dany is receiving guests. Likewise, Dany’s posture, the clasped hands, all imply this is Daenerys meeting with someone. She doesn’t appear to be angry or hostile, however, so it’s likely a new ally. Perhaps a certain King in the North? Is this the moment Jon and Dany meet!? Sorry, we’ll calm down.
