3. Aegon’s Conquest

Aegon, Aegon, Aegon. All we ever hear about is Aegon the Conqueror. So after always hearing about the first Targaryen to sit the Iron Throne, wouldn’t it be fun to see that conquest in action? HBO could hardly do worse than to give us Aegon’s of the Seven Kingdoms. And hey, there’d be dragons.

The Targaryens are the only house to survive the Doom of Valyria and did so by settling upon the island of Dragonstone, right off the east coast of Westeros. Aegon eventually decided to bring the Seven Kingdoms together under one banner, something never accomplished before. And as we all know, Aegon had dragons, and dragons change everything. This would be the series that changed everything, as the status quo is smashed, or burned, to pieces.

Before the series ended, we’d see dragons burning more men than we could count, the creation of House Baratheon, the creation of the Iron Keep and conflicts with each of the Seven Kingdoms. Aegon and his sister wives were hardly unstoppable, but ultimately we know them to be victorious. Still, it’s not about the destination right, it’s about the journey? We would love to see the legendary Aegon in action and think droves of fans would too.
