This week’s episode of American Gods “The Secret of Spoons” was another masterfully crafted episode slowing down from last week’s premiere and taking a closer look at who Shadow Moon is and how he’s handling being thrown head-first into the world of the gods.

With “Spoons” leaving us with the cliffhanger of Shadow losing the checkers match at the end to Czernobog and that interesting trailer for next week’s episode involving a bank robbery, here are our predictions for “Head Full of Snow”.

1. Czernobog isn’t going to bash Shadow’s head in with his hammer

I know, it’s a bit obvious that Shadow is going to survive losing his bet with Czernobog considering he’s the main character and the show is all about him, but our question is: how is Shadow going to worm is way out of this one?

We assume that the gods, especially one as old as Czernobog, take their bets seriously. But, Czernobog seemed like he was toying with Shadow throughout the episode so we have a feeling that he may or may not be one-hundred percent serious when he said that he was going to kill Shadow with his hammer. But, yet again, he is an old god, and if the old gods are known for anything, it’s ruthlessness. So Shadow may have to con his way out of this bad bet in order to continue his work for Wednesday.

Speaking of Wednesday, he seemed awfully calm about letting Shadow agree to the bet. We have a feeling that Wednesday may also be able to convince Czernobog to give the duo another chance and join them on their quest to defeat the new gods.
