2. There are cracks forming in the new gods

This week we finally met Gillian Anderson’s new god Media in the form of Lucille Ball during Shadow’s shopping trip for Wednesday in the TV section. During their conversation Media attempts to convince Shadow to join their side, the winning side, in this battle of old versus new. Shadow wants no part in it and tells her about his unfortunate experience with her fellow new god Technical Boy in last week’s episode.

Interestingly enough, Media disagrees with the way Tech Boy dealt with Shadow and was upset by the violence that occurred. This means either two things: one, Media is a hell of a good liar and is simply just trying a difference approach to recruiting Shadow or two, the new gods aren’t actually working together.

Odds are it’s the first option, but the second option would be more interesting. The new gods seem chaotic in the way they are approaching this war and if Media and Tech Boy are disagreeing with how Shadow should be dealt with now, what other cracks will we start to see in the new gods’ alliance?

3. Why are Shadow and Wednesday robbing a bank next week?

In the trailer for next week’s “Head Full of Snow” Shadow just can’t seem to escape the criminal life. As part of Wednesday’s grand plan, he wants them to rob a bank. You would think that with powerful friends that are literally gods, money would be something that’s beneath Wednesday. So why are he and Shadow plotting to rob a bank?

Our guess is that the old gods are in desperate need of a leg up over the new gods and if that means dealing with the financial system (which we have a feeling is probably run by the new gods) we think that Wednesday is willing to do anything to get ahead. The question though: is Shadow?
