Game of Thrones season 7 promo GIF features the Night King

HBO is ramping up the Game of Thrones season 7 marketing with an all-new promo GIF featuring the Night King.

The Game of Thrones season 7 marketing campaign floodgates are beginning to open, and, with the premiere of the new season in just under two months, it’s about time. With the release of all-new photos by Entertainment Weekly, as well as intriguing cast interviews, the excitement is at an all-time high.

Here’s the Game of Thrones season 7 promotional GIF, featuring the King of Cold (the Night King) and his piercing blue eye:

As you can see (pun intended), the Night King has his eye on Westeros and the warring armies of the living. With the Lannisters in full control of King’s Landing (and the Iron Throne), Daenerys Targaryen and his massive fleet landing on Dragonstone, and Jon Snow being crowned King in the North and House Stark’s return to power there, the Seven Kingdoms have never been more ripe for the picking.

The only barrier between the dead and the living is the Wall. And, we’re assuming that once Bran Stark — who was branded by the Night King in season 6 thus allowing him and his White Walkers to enter the cave of the Three-Eyed Raven in “Hold the Door” — passes under the gates of Castle Black, the spells woven into the Wall to keep the Walkers away, will be broken.
