5 questions we need answered from the Game of Thrones season 7 trailer

3. Is that Casterly Rock?
Although it might be a small detail in the grand scheme of things, seeing Casterly Rock for the first time would put the nerd hairs on our necks up. So is this Castelry Rock, the ancestral home of House Lannister in this shot of Unsullied storming a castle? We think so.
Consider first, the Lannister lions that adorn the archway above Unsullied. Also, consider the red and yellow “L” that is centered over the arch. Add in the dead Lannister guard, and we think this is, in fact, the oft-mentioned but never seen Casterly Rock. Heck, even the architecture looks unlike any of the other castles we have seen. If it were just the dead Lannister guard, we might think it was King’s Landing, but as the architecture doesn’t match, along with all the Lannister adornment, we feel confident this is Casterly Rock.
If that’s true, that means Daenerys lands at least a portion of her troops on the west coast of Westeros. The plan was initially proposed by Dany’s former boy toy, Daario Naharis in the season 6 finale, so perhaps Dany took the advice. Either way, it will be fun to finally see the Lannisters home, even if it looks like they don’t hang on to it for long.
