Which Game of Thrones character represents your state?

24. Louisiana Meera Reed
Meera Reed, the elder sister of Jojen Reed, first appeared on Game of Thrones during its third season. Quickly establishing herself as a loyal protector and companion of Bran Star, Meera would also prove to be an expert hunter, although Osha might disagree on the last point. Hailing from the Neck, a swamp filled portion of the North, House Reed counts itself among House Stark’s most loyal supporters. Louisiana being represented by Meera was an easy choice.
Known as the “Bayou State,” Louisiana is a virtual copy of Meera’s home in the Neck. Filled with bogs, marshes, swamps and everything that comes with that topography, Louisiana represents a large part of what made Meera who she is. A hunter and outdoorswoman, Meera would fit right in a state that also calls itself the “Sportsman’s Paradise.” Meera has shown an affinity for hunting all things moving, and Louisiana has an abundance of wild game for Meera to hunt.
And sure, things might go a little different down in Louisiana, but the same could be said for Meera and House Reed. Looked down upon by other houses, House Reed was nonetheless one of House Stark’s most loyal supporters. Greensight, the ability to see the future in one’s dreams, a House Reed trait, strikes us as similar to voodoo, Louisiana’s unofficial state religion, for its ability to be misunderstood. Which is a long way of saying, Meera and Louisiana are both used to being misunderstood.
