This is Us is a show on NBC that has stolen the hearts and minds of millions of fans. This is Us tells the story of three siblings, Kate, Kevin and Randall, as they move through life, and how their relationship with their father, Jack, and mother, Rebecca, impacted their lives and shaped them as the responsible adults they are.

Jack, played by Milo Ventimiglia, is seen through many flashbacks, interacting with the triplets he calls “The Big 3!” And, although they were all born on the same night, they are not triplets in the true sense of the word, as Randall was born to a mother of color, abandoned at a fire station by his biological father, and adopted by Jack and Kate when one of their triplets was stillborn.

Jack loved all three of his children equally, and never played favorites. His death, during their teenage years, had a major impact on each of their lives, in different ways.

This is Us makes us cry every single episode, and it’s because of Jack’s love for his children and wife that makes the story so deeply impactful in our hearts and souls.
