‘Preacher’ Season 2, Episode 4 recap: ‘Viktor’
By Shawn Lealos
Last week on Preacher, Jesse, Cassidy and Tulip went to New Orleans looking for God but were separated at the start.
With Cassidy at an old friend named Dennis’ house, Jesse started hitting up jazz clubs to find God and ended up in a skirmish with members of The Grail, who have been trying to find him. Meanwhile, Tulip is running scared of someone she used to have an association with and the episode ended with a group of armed men closing in on her in a laundry mat. Here is a look at what happened on Preacher Season 2, Episode 4 – Viktor.
Tulip and Viktor
This episode starts off at the exact same moment that Episode 3 ended – with Tulip at the laundry mat and the group of men closing in on her. Tulip is forced to hand over her gun and the men take her away. She ends up at a large gated house belonging to Viktor. While it is not really spoken of, it is clear that Viktor is a mob boss and the house is full of his foot soldiers, all armed, and none of them happy to see Tulip.
When Tulip is brought in to Viktor’s office, she hears someone being tortured in the room to the left of the office. That is when Viktor and the man who does the torturing for him see Tulip. Viktor comes out and asks what they are going to do with her. She tried crying but that doesn’t work. Viktor tells her that he brought her into his family and she made him look like a fool. He then tells her to walk around and come up with a better answer.

Tulip tries to re-connect with Viktor’s soldiers but no one will speak to her. She even approaches Viktor’s daughter, who just spits in Tulip’s face and says she hopes her dad kills her. With no seeming way to escape, Tulip finally snaps and attacks the lead foot soldier, stealing his gun. She goes into Viktor’s room and points the gun at him, telling him to let her go or she will kill him. He refuses and tells Tulip to kill him when his men break down the door and knock Tulip to the ground.
Things don’t look good at this point for Tulip.
