Is Last Week Tonight with John Oliver new tonight, July 23rd?

Will HBO’s Last Week Tonight with John Oliver be back with a new episode tonight after several weeks off?
If you’re hoping to sit down and watch John Oliver cover the latest political news tonight, you’re out of luck as his weekly show Last Week Tonight continues to be on a short summer hiatus again this week.
Even though Game of Thrones premiered season 7 last week, and the series will be joined by comedies Ballers and Insecure starting tonight, Last Week Tonight won’t be back until next Sunday, July 30 to wrap up another news-filled month.
The show’s official Twitter feed jokingly acknowledged that Oliver is missing out on commenting on everything that’s currently going on in Washington, which this week included the resignation of Sean Spicer after the hiring of Anthony Scaramucci, the Senate Republican’s continued inability to pass a health care bill, Donald Trump’s acknowledgment that he regrets hiring Jeff Sessions as attorney general, and yet another early morning tweet storm by the president where he asserted his “complete power to pardon.”
Earlier in the week, @LastWeekTonight also alluded to the highly anticipated return of Game of Thrones:
When we last saw Oliver, he was ranting about the takeover of local TV news stations by the conservative-leaning Sinclair Broadcasting Group. The show also produced a trailer for a fake biopic of Warren G. Harding using one of the presidential wax statues Oliver purchased from The Hall of Presidents and First Ladies museum in Gettysburg. The clip also starred Anna Kendrick, Laura Linney, Michael McKean, James Cromwell and Campbell Scott.
Oliver and Stephen Colbert later traded insults about Harding and Zachary Taylor, who was purchased by The Late Show host, during an appearance on the latter’s CBS late-night series, where the British comedian also gave his thoughts on the emerging scandal involving Donald Trump, Jr.

Last Week Tonight with John Oliver will return next Sunday, July 30th at 11 PM ET on HBO. The show will air new episodes throughout most of the month of August, before going on a short break ahead of Labor Day that will extend until September 10th.
