25 books that need to be adapted for TV right now

18. Odd Thomas series
Dean Koontz has seen a movie released in 2013 based on his very popular and creative Odd Thomas series, with the late Anton Yelchin in the title role. However, with seven novels, three graphic novel prequels, a three-part novella, and a four-part webisode series, there is so much here to mine for a possible adaptation for TV.
Odd Thomas is a 20-year-old living in California who can see the spirits of the dead. While he can speak to them, he cannot speak to him.
Odd Thomas then uses his powers to help the lingering spirits around his town and the first book actually deals with him trying to stop a mass murder. After that, Odd Thomas spends time trying to remain safe and protect his powers while trying to help both dead and alive along the way.
In a comparison, it seems possible to compare this novel series to something like the television show Ghost Whisperer.
but with more supernatural aspects delved into the story, including Odd being able to foresee events, find himself drawn to places he is needed, and bringing danger to himself through a sort of bad luck. There is a wide array of side characters and enough story to help make the show last for a number of seasons.
