5 WTF Moments: Game of Thrones 7×04 ‘The Spoils of War’

An epic battle filled with dragons, Bronn the Blackwater taking down Drogon and more heartfelt Stark reunions made ‘The Spoils of War’ one of the best episodes yet. 

This week’s episode of Game of Thrones ‘The Spoils of War’ may have been the series’ shortest episode yet, but it was epic on so many levels it felt like a full-length episode between more Stark reunions, Littlefinger’s dagger and the biggest dragon fire fight yet with all our favorite characters battling for survival.

Here is our breakdown of the top WTF moments:

1. Arya vs. Brienne

This week Arya showed off some serious skills to Brienne while training in the courtyard under the eyes of her sister Sansa and Littlefinger (who looked like he was coming up with some devious plans to use the youngest Stark sibling).

It was surprising though to see just how good Arya is at water dancing and how confident she has become with Needle. We have never actually seen Arya fight before, the one major conflict she has been in was with the waif last season, but we never witnessed Arya take her down after she blew out that candle. So it was exciting (and a little disturbing for some people, mostly Sansa) to see Arya take down a warrior was fierce as Brienne.

It’s also worth noting that Brienne wasn’t holding anything back, she looked like she was really swinging to kill. And that kick to the stomach made it look like she was really trying to take down Arya.
