Daenerys Targaryen kept her promise and these two characters paid for it with their life on Game of Thrones 705, “Eastwatch.”

When Daenerys Targaryen tells you to bend the knee, and she has a very large dragon just hanging out behind her, licking a wound, you just do it. You bend the damn knee. Well, as it happens, on Game of Thrones season 7 episode 5, “Eastwatch,” Dickon and Randyl Tarly got burned.

Ouch, that did not look pleasant at all. It’s not like Dany gave the Tarlys the same courtesy Jaime gave Olenna Tyrell by letting them drink a painless poison. No, Dany sent them out in the worst way possible, death by fire.

Randyl is probably rolling in his…wait, Randyl’s pile of ashes is probably falling over and spilling into Dickon’s ashes at the thought of Sam sitting in his seat at dinner. I guess there’s one thing they do teach you at the Citadel: How not to get burned to ashes by a dragon. To steal a quote from Ser Bronn of the Blackwater: “I guess they didn’t teach them that at fancy lad school.”
