Video: The Night King adds a new weapon to his army on Game of Thrones “Beyond the Wall”
The Night King resurrected a dead dragon on Game of Thrones “Beyond the Wall,” and added a very deadly weapon to his army.
Welp…when you have the power to raise the dead, using that power to resurrect a dragon you just killed, is a pretty smart move. But why, oh why did it have to be one of Dany’s dragons? I repeat a question I asked in an earlier piece about Viserion: Why don’t you like nice things, Game of Thrones?
Let’s set the scene: Dany has fled with Jon’s team on Drogon’s back. Jon himself was rescued by Uncle Benjen and made his way to Eastwatch-by-the-Sea, barely alive. Reaching into the bed of his truck (which he obviously has) the Night King gave his minions huge chains and they dragged Viserion’s lifeless body from the icy depths of the frozen lake into which he fell.
At least Viserion gets to live again, well…sort of. The Night King approached and placed his hand on Viserion’s head, almost tenderly it seemed, and the dragon opened his blue eye.
This is a massive game-changer for the Night King. With Daenerys willing to join Jon Snow’s forces to fight the army of the dead, adding a dragon to his side ensures the scales have been tipped every so slightly in his favor.

The real question now remains: How will Dany and her two dragons — Drogon and Rhaegal — react to facing a familiar face in battle? We may not get the answer to that question until season 8.
