12. “This is Jon. He’s King of the North.”

We all know how awkward it is to meet someone with a lot of titles (or in our cases, a lot of school academic awards), who like to flaunt them, and we sit there like…”Hi?”

Unfortunately, Jon Snow had a case of this when he met Daenerys of the House Targaryen, the First of Her Name, Breaker of Chains, Queen of the Andals and the First Men, Khaleesi of the Great Grass Sea, The Mother of Dragons, The Breaker of Chains, and Lady of Dragonstone. (Those are just on her Wikipedia!)

Jon, who has all his life been a bastard and therefore had no titles to claim, looked at Davos for help. Davos, who also probably would have failed any class where he had to speak in front of people, said “This is Jon. He’s King of the North.”

We know now that he’s so much more than King of the North, he’s Jon of the House Targaryen, 998th Lord Commander of the Night’s Watch, Leader of the Army against the White Walkers….I mean, throughout the seasons, he’s racked up some titles. But because he’s Jon and Jon never thinks about himself, he’s just…Jon.

While a good observer of this scene would talk about how it showed the differences between Daenerys, who grew up knowing she was part of a royal family of Westeros, and Jon, who knew he was only a bastard, I honestly just found this really freaking funny.

This is what happens when you don’t prepare, guys!
