1. The Freys are dead

When the season opened with a Frey feast, I think we were all a little confused. Especially when Walder Frey talked about the Red Wedding as if it just happened. Did we go back in time? Did we pull a Doctor Who and jump on a dragon in the Time Vortex and go back a couple seasons? Why are we talking about the Red Wedding? I don’t know about you, but I like to think about it as little as possible.

Then, once he started talking about the Red Wedding, he almost seemed – condescending? Okay, now we know something’s going on. As it turns out it’s not Walder at all. It’s Arya, who mastered using Faces to the point that now she can start killing people on her list. It looks like she’s going to keep the faces of the people that she’s killed, just in case they ever come in handy.

I mean, with one face, she was able to slaughter and end an entire house and ally to the Lannisters. While gruesome and bloody, it was a pretty smart thing to do. I also appreciate her sparing the children or his “wives”.

When she takes off the face and says “When people ask, tell them the North remembers,” boom. What a fantastic way to start the season with a huge death to a house, consequently killing a house that’s long been part of Westeros, and the family that killed Cat and Robb. Ah, revenge is sweet.
