19. The epic Arya/Brienne duel

Okay so it’s not a “duel,” but it is something that all the fans have been waiting for. Brienne is practicing her sword fighting with Podrick, and Arya asks if she can join. She immediately hesitates, saying she can find the Master of Arms, but Arya wants to fight the woman who beat the Hound.

Immediately, they start, and Brienne begins using the combat training she was taught in Westeros, while Arya uses the Water Dance training from Syrio Forel, as well as the faceless men. This turned into one of the biggest moments of the season, as the two are quite different. Gwendoline Christie is 6’3, and Maisie Williams is 5’1, making the fight even more impressive. Arya continues to win until Brienne knocks Needle out of her hand, but Arya just switches to the dagger Bran just gave her.

Finally, they come to a stalemate, and while Arya and Brienne revel in how much fun they had, Sansa looks nervous about Arya might be able to do.
