1. Jon Snow Keeps Messing Up

Poor Jon Snow (Kit Harington) can’t catch a break, even in the season finale. Things were going surprisingly swimmingly during the meeting of the century until Jon refused to swear to Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey) that he would stay in the north where he “belonged” because he already pledged v loyalty to Dany (Emilia Clarke).

While this is all well and good, Jon really needed to at least lie because Cersei got up and walked away without agreeing to help, making Dany’s dragon’s death (which was kinda Jon’s fault in the first place) mean nothing.

Cue sad, brooding Jon.

Of course Dany can’t stay mad at Jon for too long, and the two have an interesting conversation about how small her family’s dragons had become from keeping them in the dragon pit, how Dany is different than her ancestors and, of course, how they are all “F**ked,” according to Tyrion (Peter Dinklage).

2. Littlefinger Faces Justice

The most satisfying slice of the season was when Ayra Stark (Maisie Williams) cut open Littlefinger’s (Aidan Gillen) throat under to orders of her sister Sansa (Sophie Turner).

It was arguably the biggest death of the season, considering Littlefinger has been around since season one, but it was also one of the best-acted deaths yet, thanks to Gillen’s stunning performance. Littlefinger’s emotions were all over the place as he went from shocked to angry to scared and crying. The moment Littlefinger broke down in tears was shocking considering we’ve only ever seen the sly side of the character, but in the finale, his true fear was brought to light during one of the biggest deaths of the season.
