Hulu and HBO rake in the awards during the 2017 Emmy Awards with The Handmaid’s Tale and Big Little Lies dominating just about every category.

If you’ve had the great pleasure of watching the television adaptation of either The Handmaid’s Tale (Hulu) or Big Little Lies (HBO), then you probably understand the reason each show mopped-up at the 69th Primetime Emmy Awards on Sunday night.

Hulu’s The Handmaid’s Tale took home the following awards:

  • Outstanding Drama Series.
  • Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series — Elisabeth Moss.
  • Outstanding Directing for a Drama Series — Reed Morano: “Offred.”
  • Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series — Ann Dowd (Aunt Lydia).
  • Outstanding Writing for a Drama Series — Bruce Miller: “Offred.”

HBO’s Big Little Lies took home the following awards:

  • Outstanding Limited Series.
  • Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited Series or Movie — Nicole Kidman (Celeste Wright).
  • Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Limited Series or TV Movie — Alexander Skarsgard (Perry Wright).
  • Outstanding Directing for a Limited Series, Movie or Dramatic Special — Jean-Marc Vallée.
  • Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Limited Series or TV Movie — Laura Dern (Renata Klein).

While each series won a total of five awards each, Big Little Lies took home the most individual acting awards. That’s not to say the show had better actors than The Handmaid’s Tale, as both featured quite a large cast, filled with excellent acting.
