Outlander season 3, episode 3 Preview: “All Debts Paid”
Outlander season 3 continues on this Sunday on Starz with episode 3, “All Debts Paid.”
Outlander season 3 has been a bit of a slow-starter, for me, anyway. Watching Claire conform to life in 1940’s Boston as the wife (again) of Frank, while pregnant and then giving birth to her other husband, Jamie’s child, hasn’t made for great television.
On the other side of time, and across the stones, we never really got the satisfaction of a big battle with the Jacobites losing to the British at the Battle of Culloden, and the death of the despicable Black Jack Randall.
Episode 2 bounced back and forth once more, as Claire became aware that she was desiring her husband Jamie, and Frank would have to do…much to Frank’s chagrin. Jamie, on the other hand, has become a beast, living in the woods and avoiding the British, until he and his family devise a plan for him to turn himself in. Great plan, folks.
Let’s hope episode 3, “All Debts Paid” does a better job of getting us back on track. Here’s a preview:

Okay, but why? Haven’t we done the whole “British officer takes a fancy to Jamie” thing before? Also, it appears as if Claire and Frank are just about on the outs, with her not being able to look at him while they’re having sex, I can only imagine that might be the center of the problem.
