Ash vs. Evil Dead was a surprisingly entertaining horror adaptation when it hit Starz two years ago.

After a highly enjoyable first season and an equally crazy second season, it was disappointing to learn that it wouldn’t return for Halloween this year. However, Starz announced via Twitter that the popular horror spinoff series would finally return for its third season on Feb. 25, 2018.

The third season of Ash vs. Evil Dead will include 10 episodes.

The main cast returns, as Bruce Campbell is back as the cult favorite action hero Ash, along with his sidekicks Pablo (Ray Santiago) and Kelly (Dana DeLorenzo), and the immortal Ruby (Lucy Lawless). Also taking a lead role in season three is Brandy Barr (Arielle Carver-O’Neill), someone with a complicated relationship with Ash.

The Ash vs. Evil Dead season three synopsis was also released:

"Ash vs Evil Dead Season 3 finds Ash’s status in Elk Grove, Michigan has changed from murderous urban legend to humanity-saving hometown hero. When Kelly witnesses a televised massacre with Ruby’s fingerprints all over it, she returns with a new friend to warn Ash and Pablo that evil isn’t done with them yet. Blood is thicker than water in the battle of good vs Evil Dead!"

Bruce Campbell teased a bit about season three in a Sirius XM interview with Entertainment Weekly back in August. He said that this season would “explore a little more of Ash Williams’ myth.” He said that the season would show how he isn’t a loser from a trailer park and fans will get answers about why he was foretold.

Ash vs. Evil Dead returns for season three on Feb. 25, 2018, on Starz.
