13.  Frasier – “Halloween”

Leave it to Frasier to make all their characters dress up for Halloween but only as literary heroes. The whole episode takes place at a party hosted by Niles, who’s set up the event to benefit the Library Association. Everyone’s costumes are from established published work with the exception of Bulldog who just comes as Waldo from the “Where’s Waldo” franchise. “Halloween,” is mainly set up by a drunken misunderstanding. When Roz tells Frasier that she’s pregnant, he immediately blabs to Daphne about the situation. However, a drunken Niles takes this as a sign that he’s impregnated Daphne and the hilarity ensues. He proposes to his friend, thinking that she’s abut to have a baby while the gossip spreads like wildfire throughout the party guests. Thankfully Roz steps forward to clear everything up by the episode’s end but it’s still funny to see a lightweight Niles try to do the right thing.

Frasier is another sitcom great that deserves to be watched by everyone. With such an esteemed legacy, it’s all but guaranteed to churn out fun episodes that anyone could enjoy. Who hasn’t accidentally misheard something and passed on that information? Gossip magazines do it all the time, so almost anyone should be able to relate to the mishap. Also Niles is such a lovable drunk that you can’t help but feel sorry for him by the end of “Halloween.” Easily one of the shows’ better holiday episodes, take the thirty minutes out of your day to check it out online.
