Altered Carbon follows Takeshi Kovacs portrayed by House of Cards alum Joel Kinnaman, who is brought back to life to investigate the attempted murder of Laurens Bancroft, portrayed by James Purefoy.
Bancroft is the wealthiest man on in this dystopian version of Earth, where humans have learned to place their consciousness into “downloaded bodies” called sleeves. Check out the teaser.
"Based on the award-winning novel, Altered Carbon takes place in a future where the human mind can now be digitized and downloaded into a “cortical stack” and placed into new bodies, called sleeves."
