Hulu has had a lot of success with their first Marvel show, Runaways, that it would make sense for another teenage team of superheroes could thrive on their own series as well. The Young Avengers are a group of young superheroes who are confident in their abilities to fight crime.

Despite initially getting their gear taken away by the real Avengers, they are eventually brought in to get correctly trained. Marvel has long been searching for a show that connects the greater MCU like Agents of Shield was originally meant to do. The Young Avengers is the perfect team to reach a younger fan base while still appealing to those who enjoy the films. It would also give the series an easy way to have an Avenger have a cameo without ever needing them to stick around in a full arc.

While Runaways mainly consists of newer superheroes, The Young Avengers has quite a few children of notable heroes. Twins Billy and Tommy are the sons of Scarlet Witch, with the former having a beautiful LGBTQ storyline. Cassie Lang, the daughter of Ant-Man, is also on the team despite her mother’s desperation to keep her out of the superhero life.

Iron Lad, or Nate Richards, is the distant relative of Reed Richards and the adolescent version of the infamous Marvel villain, Kang the Conqueror. With such a rich history for all of these characters, it would make for a unique Marvel show on television. So far, all of their television shows have remained pretty distant from their movie franchises, but Young Avengers could be the key to finally creating a bridge between the two universes.
