12. X-Man

Born in the Age of Apocalypse timeline, Nate Grey is the supposed to be the perfect mutant. However, like a few others on this list, he will most likely be changed from the clone to just the run-of-the-mill mutant. The son of Jean Grey and Scott Summers, he grows up to have immense telepathic and telekinetic powers. Fear not, X-Man does get his abilities toned down in the comics after suffering a traumatic event.

Now he only has minor telepathy, which allows him to just to sense other people around him, and telekinesis which allows for small energy blasts and can only lift mentally what he can physically. This alteration in his powers would keep him from being overpowered compared to some of the other mutants on The Gifted roster.

How exactly would Nate fit into the series outside of just his parental ties? X-Man is actually part of a team with Blink throughout a few different comics. Since there hasn’t been that much revealed about Clarice’s backstory other than her dirtbag ex-boyfriend and her foster family, she could have a few other mutant friends she has crossed paths with.

Nate is a bit of a recluse who is desperate to learn more about his parents. It would make sense for him to ally himself with the Hellfire Club to find out more from Emma, but ultimately his desire to save people will keep him firmly on the side of the Underground. Now that Dreamer has died, Nate could also become a part of a love triangle with Blink and John.
