8. Black Panther Lexus
In just one week, the Marvel Cinematic Universe releases its next superhero blockbuster when Black Panther arrives on the big screen. Lexus decided to team with Marvel for their Super Bowl commercial. In this ad, Black Panther starts off fighting some bad guys and putting Vibranium into the trunk of a Lexus, which his bodyguard then drives off.
Panther then asks if his ride is ready and is told he needs to hurry. The commercial then inter-cuts Panther running while his Lexus races to meet him automatically. He then goes up high and dives off a building and lands in the seat of his car through the sunroof.
As he is called a showoff, he displays some of the car’s perks and then pulls up and gets out dressed in his suit as King T’Challa. The tag is that the Lexus LS 500 has luxury performance that “takes the crown,” and finishes with the tag “long live the king.”
The big thing here was getting Black Panther star Chadwick Boseman for the commercial and showing fighting and action based on what fans can expect in the upcoming MCU film. Music from Kendrick Lamar’s soundtrack also plays over this Super Bowl commercial.
