7. Mission Impossible: Fallout

There were a number of movie trailers that hit during the Super Bowl commercials this year. Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom was great, as it showed that – once again – men have not learned to stop making new dinosaurs because that never works out right. The most intriguing was the Cloverfield Paradox, not because of the trailer but because it ended with the news that the movie premiered Sunday night on Netflix – something that was never expected.

The new movie with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Skyscraper, was a slight disappointment. There looks to be plenty of action and a high concept theme, but something felt lacking in the trailer. Avengers: Infinity War was also a disappointment, as it only gave fans 30 more seconds of footage – although the new shield for Steve Rogers was pretty sweet.

However, the best trailer during the Super Bowl this year was for Mission Impossible: Fallout. The movie looks to continue in the fun and frantic stunt-based missions of the last few movies and the dialogue mentioning that Ethan Hunt might have had enough with a country always turning their back on him was intriguing. Also, fans got a chance to see mustached Superman and the stunt that injured Tom Cruise in real-life.
