Ash vs. Evil Dead episode 03.02 – 5 takeaways from ‘Booth Three’

Last week, Ash vs. Evil Dead returned for its third season and this week the demons are already trying to destroy his seed.

The first episode of Ash vs. Evil Dead season 3 saw Ash learn that he has a daughter, only to have to save her life and watch her mother die at the hands of the Deadittes that rose from the earth once more.

While little was shown of Ruby, she did come back and knock someone’s head off to get access to the Necronomicon again. There is also a new guy who wants to help Ash named Dalton, although he only showed up at the end with Kelly.

Here is a look at five takeaways from the second episode of season 2 of Ash vs. Evil Dead: “Booth Three.”

5. Booth Three

There is a lot wrong in this episode — and by wrong, that means there is a lot of very disgusting and borderline offensive humor in the episode. See, Booth Three is where Ash Williams (Bruce Campbell) goes to donate sperm, something he has done for years in Elk Grove.

He is actually on a familiar basis with the staff, and it turns out that Ash’s dad (now deceased) went there to donate lots of sperm as well. With the sperm comes free nudie mags, so there is lots of nudity in the episode — although we just see a lot of it while Ash is looking at the porno mags and preparing to give his donation.

With that said, the reason that Ash went to the sperm bank, to begin with, was because he wanted to find out if his donations were ever used to help a woman get pregnant since he learns that the evil that haunts him wants to destroy his “seed.” That sets up this episodes big battle.
