4. Brandy Has Some Problems

Brandy does little this week to make up for how terrible she acted last week. While she is a little more sympathetic, it is just because of small lines, like when she says she wants her mother. However, she is still a total jerk to Ash, and a lot of that comes from her preconceived notions about him from his demon hunting days.

Despite this, Ash is trying to be a father — the only way he knows how (like one of those cool TV dads). He even takes her to school, but this is where things get bad.

After Ash tells her not to say anything to anyone about the demons, Brandy goes straight to the only person she trusts and can talk to — her school counselor. This is where we learn what Ruby has been doing all this time since Ash vs. Evil Dead season 2 ended. She has been working as a school counselor.

So, Brandy tells Ruby everything about her father being Ash and the Deaditte attack. The episode makes it clear that Ruby had no idea that Brandy was Ash’s daughter — but that secret is out now and if Ruby needs all Ash’s seed dead, Brandy’s life is in danger.

As Ash tells Kelly and Pablo, protecting his daughter is their primary mission now.
