02.03 – Man on the Run

Marius intercepts Pete just before he reaches the family farmhouse, but Carly sees them. Marius tells Pete about the situation involving his mother and the $11 million. Pete doesn’t know any more than Marius does about Maggie or the money. Pete maintains that Maggie is dead. Marius and Marjorie set up a con to get Pete to tell the truth and he admits that Maggie is alive, but he has no idea where she is – only that she was in Sedona six months ago, just like Frank and Joe said. Julia once looked into finding Maggie herself and tracked her as far as Buffalo.

Marius realizes that the psychic Maggie moves around spiritualist centers. But when Marjorie finds out the missing money belongs to Luka Delchev she quits the con. No amount of money is worth the risk of coming up against Delchev, who apparently is insanely dangerous.

Meanwhile, a guy shows up to Moe’s trying to find out what happened to the housepainter. Turns out, the housepainter records all his business conversations and has Otto’s voice on tape. Moe says he doesn’t recognize Otto’s voice so the guy beats him up. Moe doesn’t give him up, but the guy figures it out when Otto visits Moe at the hospital. Turns out the guy is the housepainter’s son, Colin. He kidnaps Otto.

Taylor struggles as Joyce’s assistant to plausibly mislead her based on the evidence she uncovers. Julia turns down Luis’s deal to launder the money, but trades favors with Marius to help her make a plan of her own. Meanwhile, Carly gets closer up uncovering the truth when she tracks Marius’ car and finds him with the real Pete, who she thinks is Marius Josipovic.
