02.04 – Maggie
When Carly finds Pete she calls Taylor and confronts Marius. Marius covers by saying that Pete is his old cellmate and lied because he was ashamed. Marius tells Pete to get out of town and find Maggie. Marius goes with Joe and Frank to find Maggie. They go to Rosedale spiritualist center and pretend to be psychic brothers looking to relocate.
Joe makes people suspicious and Marius has to convince people they’re genuine. Joe freaks out when he thinks they might not find Maggie and ends up chasing Marius all over town. This is how Marius ends up finding Maggie. He tells her about the trouble her family is in and she claims she’s tired of being on the run. Marius waits for her to get her things together, but instead, her boss holds him and Joe at gunpoint while she gets away.
Otto is able to leave a coded message for Sam letting him know he’s in trouble. Otto helps Colin find the housepainter’s car, but the jacket he’s looking for isn’t inside. Taylor and Carly have a heart to heart about their parents’ death. Julia tracks down Lance to help with her money laundering scheme. Taylor and Joyce investigate the crime scene where Joyce finds more evidence and the old guy to saw Audrey gives her description. Meanwhile, Audrey can’t clean up the evidence on her truck so she gets in another crash to cover it up.
Sneaky Pete Season 2, Part 1 Review
This show has an awful lot of B plots for what is actually a pretty small cast of characters. Every single person has their own individual storyline going on, which is sometimes a lot to keep track of and makes the show a little convoluted. I will admit, my attention wandered.

That being said, the best part of this show is seeing Marius pull off a con. Giovanni Ribisi is so much fun to watch, to see his energy transform as he shifts into new characters from con to con. You just know that Marius can walk into a room and digest the situation instantly, knowing exactly who to play and how to play them. What is more fun is to see Marius and Julia run a con together? Ribisi and Ireland have such great chemistry together and Julia just rolls with the punches probably better than anyone Marius knows.
